Description

This añejo, from the excellent Ocho range, comes from the La Magueyera estate. Using agave harvested in 2014, it was aged for 12 months and 19 days (very specific) in barrel #4. Distilled by Carlos Camarena in the La Alteña Distillery, this añejo was bottled with an ABV of 53.8%

Overall

Roasted agave intensity, with bright, fresh orange and pineapple. Slightly salty and very herbal. Caramel and subtle cacao notes.

Ocho rage is excellent.

Nose: Roasted nuts, cocoa power, black pepper, green cayenne peppers, horse radish, orange marmalade, baked earth. Palate: Very much like the nose, roasted agave, pepper, old leather, baked earth, rock salt, curry powder, ginger, lemongrass, aloe, Comments, amazing stuff!
