A smoked silver tequila here from Maestro Dobel. While smoky agave notes are more commonly associated with tequila's more rustic brother Mezcal, the distillers from Maestro Dobel looked to replicate the taste of tequila from the 17th century by using Mesquite wood in the production process. This has introduced robust, smoky elements to the floral, fruity tequila.
Caramel, salted butter, wood smoke, lemon peel and orange blossom.
If you like Mezcal even a little bit, or appreciate the smokiness of scotch, this is the tequila for you. Amazing in a cocktail program or just over some ice.
