Holy smokes! This Tapatio tequila is incredible! The Tapatio Excelencia Gran Reserva Extra Añejo is matured for around four years. A combination of casks are used, depending on the batch, including French oak and American oak. Stunning stuff all round!
Hot caramel apples, intense agave and hidden floral flourish.
An explosion of earthy notes, brown sugar, traditional tequila spiciness and hint of chocolate, wrapped in a mellow blanket incurred by the oak maturation.
Extremely long and rich.

Hands down my favorite aged agave spirit. I have quite a few tequilas in the bunker, but none are more prized than this baby. I bought 1 bottle and drank it in less than two weeks because I couldn't stop sharing it with anyone that would have a glass - so I bought 2 more. Highly drinkable, deliciously smooth, a complex tequila with obvious sherry or cognac influences from whatever cask they used.
There's no doubt in my mind this is one of the best extra-anejo's on the market. No question. You're crazy if you're spending more money on something else.

Absolutely amazing, Tapatio is without a doubt one of the best tequila's out there in my opinion and the blanco, reposado and anejo are amazing value for money for the quality you are getting.
