Holy smokes! This Tapatio tequila is incredible! The Tapatio Excelencia Gran Reserva Extra Añejo is matured for around four years. A combination of casks are used, depending on the batch, including French oak and American oak. Stunning stuff all round!
Hot caramel apples, intense agave and hidden floral flourish.
An explosion of earthy notes, brown sugar, traditional tequila spiciness and hint of chocolate, wrapped in a mellow blanket incurred by the oak maturation.

Tried it in a nice Stockholm restaurant and then ordered it in the Swedish Systembolaget (excellent state run importer and retail agency for alcoholic beverages - professional service). It is now among other celebrities: rum, mao tai, calvados, etc.)
