This 100% organic blanco Tequila from Mayaciel was made with 100% Blue Weber agave and filtered through volcanic spring water. It's crafted in limited small batches by family and friends of the brand's founders and each bottle is unique. Mayaciel Tequila Blanco has already become something of an awards darling and can be mixed and matched in a number of ways, with the brand providing recipes on its website. Here's one for a smashing Basil Smash:
Mayaciel Basil Smash
60ml Mayaciel Tequila Blanco
20ml freshly-squeezed lime juice
20ml agave syrup
A handful of basil leaves
A pinch of salt
Combine the ingredients, except for the basil, in a cocktail shaker then shake it up good. Strain into a glass of your choice. Add a dash of soda water if you like a longer drink. Garnish with basil leaves.
