The blanco expression from the G4 Tequila range, created by Felipe Camarena - the Camarena family is well known in the Tequila world for making excellent spirits and Felipe is continuing this tradition. The G4 range is made with traditional methods, though with particular attention paid towards being environmentally conscious. This includes using agave leftovers from cooking as fertiliser, using 50% harvested rainwater as well as 50% natural spring water, and having a recycled steamroller crushing agave that runs on one motor (while other producers might use 10 to 15 of them).
Enjoyably spicy hints of cardamom and pepper, balanced by fresh agave vegetal notes. A touch of vanilla develops underneath.

Someone once told me that you shouldn't cook with wine you're not prepared to drink. Good advice I would say, and likewise I am a firm believer that good cocktails need quality ingredients and after typing a few and doing some research, this is definitely the winner for me. Tapatio maybe decent, but G4 is class. Highly recommended.

It holds your hand along the way with amazingly fresh up front agave and doesn't try and bowl you over with a power burn finish. Not only could you start your journey of 40% blanco's here, but you could almost end it too- its that good!

This is a top blanco from a master distiller - and very difficult to find in the UK. It’s supposed to be close to sacrilegious to drink over ice but, straight over ice, this is a superb drink: minerally, vegetal, clean.
