An exceptional Tequila from Casa Dragones, dubbed a 'sipping Tequila', and for good reason! Don't be fooled by the colour, distilled exclusively from Blue Weber agave, this Joven expression is made with a blend of silver and extra aged Tequila, having been rested in new American oak barrels for five years. Rather uniquely, the folks over at the distillery recommend pairing this with hazelnut praline desserts, bringing out the nuttier notes in the spirit. Though, it does just as well enjoyed on its own.
Floral citrus, fresh agave sweetness, a touch of oaky vanilla and spice, with ripe pear and oily nuts.
Never tasted a tequila so smooth. Takes me back to holidays in Mexico - you don't find stuff like this in the UK. Savoured every sip.
Finally managed to purchase this as I had tasted it in Mexico. The 1st sip was very much on the citrus and a light note of vanilla. The last sip was definitely more on the oaky side and smooth.
I am a huge Tequila fan but this is out of this world! Never tasted an aged tequila like it - silky smooth, you just want to sip it all day. Wow. Very impressed.
