Ocho Single Barrel Añejo 2010 Harvest - Carlos Camarena
This is a delicious Añejo Tequila, bottled for the superb Single Barrel range from Ocho. It was made by Carlos Camarena at the Los Corrales ranch. The agave plants were harvested in 2010, and the spirit was aged for 18 months and 24 days before bottling at barrel-proof.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Spiced, herbal nose with hints of sharp fruit, toasted oak and black olives.
Palate
Roasted, agave-led palate with sweet vanilla and bourbon barrel char. Black pepper provides fiery warmth, with all kinds of spice - cardamom, nutmeg, clove.
Finish
A herbal, tangy finish.
Overall
Rich and very complex.
