ArteNOM Selección de 1579

Top quality Tequila, independently bottled by ArteNOM, which is on a mission to seek out select expressions with distinctive heritage and character. This classic blanco was crafted by master distiller Felipe Camarena at Destilería El Pandillo, in the high altitude mountain town of Jesús María, Jalisco. Rainwater is used in the fermentation process, before slow distillation in small copper stills. Wonderfully creamy with gentle spice, this is a dreamy Tequila indeed!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Sweet, fresh pastry with a mineral viscosity, hints of spearmint, with big juicy roasted agave, and prickly pepper spice on the end.

Reviews for ArteNOM Selección de 1579 Tequila Blanco
Felipe does his stuff!
You can never be sure if a 'project' like ArteNOM will really bring out the best a master distiller has to offer but Felipe Camarena doesn't mess about here. While the family young (ish) guns like Carlos are busy with Villa Lobos, Ocho, Pasote, the patriarch is responsible for the mighty Tapatio and G4 brands as well as Terralta, El Tesoro etc. So would this merely be a dalliance or a fine tequila in its own right?
Its superb, I think he's just relied on doing everything in its truest traditional sense and then bottling the result. He hasn't tried to be different or create a USP away from his other brands, he simply wants it to represent whats great about Camarena tequilas. And it does- smooth prominent agave and spice and a lovely vibrancy and heat that rolls on. Very more-ish too. Enjoy!
