A slightly higher ABV batch of Selección de 1414 Tequila from indie bottler ArteNOM. Produced at Distileria El Ranchito in the highlands of Jalisco, this reposado expression showcases the estate's agave which is grown at a high elevation, combined with the expertise of chief distillers, Sergio & José Manuél Vivanco. A short rest in oak has imparted sweet hints of caramel, vanilla, and butter to the vegetal cooked agave at its core.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Generous layers of cooked agave lead to notes of yeasty dough, buttery oak, and black pepper. Soft notes of caramel and vanilla nestle beneath, with green peppercorns bringing warmth to the finish.
