Thoreau
Thoreau Rum & Cognac
This rather intriguing creation is named after Henry David Thoreau, the 19th century philosopher, naturalist, and poet – who endeavoured to encourage creative freedom. The producers of this spirit have certainly embraced that, they've only gone and blended a selection of rums from Guetamala with VSOP Cognac! This may sound unusual, but it makes for a unique and enjoyable sipper. Just think about how well these two spirits work in a Between the Sheets cocktail... Come to think of it, we must give this a go in one of those some time.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Pungent notes of earthy, tannic rum lead the way with softly roasted walnuts and an abundance of fruit with apricot, plum, and citrus, floral vanilla, rich oak, and sweet, yet peppery spice.
