STRYYK Not Gin Bottling Note

STRYYK's Not Gin is a non-alcoholic spirit alternative to that famous juniper-based beverage. It's made with juniper, basil and rosemary, and absolutely no added sugar or artificial flavours. Of course, you'll want to serve this with tonic water...

STRYYK Not Gin Reviews

Nothing like normal gin

If you’re a proper gin drinker this will not satisfy you. I tried it when I had give up alcohol due to having to take antibiotics. Tried it once and poured it down the sink. Ended up just drinking tonic water on its own with lime essence and lime and that tasted better.

Pretty good for a non-gin

I have tried several of the non-gins and mostly find they taste of absolutely nothing. This one pleasantly has some actual flavour, so that's a good start. It's surprisingly spicy if you try it on its own, as if there is chilli or a lot of pepper in it. The herb flavour is quite strong and it mainly smells and tastes sagey - it's hard to find the juniper. With tonic, the flavour is strong enough that you can still taste it and it makes for an enjoyable substitute to the real thing. I took a star off because the bottle design around the neck means you can't pour it without pouring it around the glass as well as in it. It's a bit expensive to be pouring 1/4 of it all over the table top.
