2 year old rye spirit here from the Spreewood Distillery in Spreewald, Germany, released for That Boutique-y Rye Company's Rye Series! Spreewood was Germany's first rye distillery, founded back in 2004, and they're the folks behind Stork Club - hence the party happening on the label!
Batch 1 is a release of 221 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Cherry sweeties, popcorn, quite buttery at points. Earthy spices build.
Yet more earthy spices, now with clove and thyme. Still has plenty of red fruit sweetness, and a little hint of toffee, too.
Vanilla ice cream, spiced fruit compote and dry oak.
