Nc'nean Botanical Spirit Bottling Note

This botanical spirit from Scotland’s first 100% organic distillery Nc'nean was created with a combination of the distillery's barley spirit and ten botanicals, such as wild bog myrtle, sorrel, heather and thyme. It was distilled a third time by Beinn an Tuirc on the west coast and bottled at 40% ABV.

The signature serve recommends pairing 50ml of the spirit with tonic water, a dash of Angostura bitters, and a grapefruit slice garnish.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Fresh barley, sea salt and tart citrus and dark fruit elements are followed by plenty of floral and herbal notes.

Pine yuck!
NcNean Whiskey is spectacular but u fortunately this gin is horrid. I got a really strong taste of pine which reminded me of toilet cleaner! I honestly can’t drink it. Sorry, really wanted to love it and will buy whiskey again :(

Really innovative and delicious spirit.
It’s an interesting very mellow flavour which is delicious when mixed with tonic. Flavoured tonic even better. It has mild whisky undertones as opposed to the juniperry gin ones. Really like it and would recommend.

Good when mixed, not so great neat.
A very Herby whiskey is what I get when trying this, not that much of a fan when drinking it neat. When mixed as suggested with tonic water and bitters it is actually very pleasant and it mellows all the flavours with the bitter bringing out new notes.
