The exciting return of an old favourite here, it's a new batch of one of the most intriguing and delightful creations we've ever bottled for our exclusive Master of Malt collection!
What is it, you ask? Well, we have to tread carefully there. Due to a tangle of rules and regulations, we can't actually tell you, what it is, where it came from, or how it came into existence. We're also not allowed to tell you what it isn't... all very cloak and dagger. Let's take a look at the label, which thankfully, we are allowed to look at – zoom in to your heart's content! You'll see that this is a blended malt and grain spirit drink, distilled in 1978 and matured for an incredible 40 years. Most exciting of all though, the spirit was finished in a teeny little octave barrel that previously held maple freakin’ syrup (aka heavenly Canada sauce)! Once the idea came about, it just had to be done, and the result is as utterly decadent and delicious as you can imagine. Sip this sparingly, or stir up the mightiest Old Fashioned you ever tasted, there are just 130 bottles available, without added colour or chill filtration.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Hearty layers of toffee apple and dense malt join sticky ginger cake, with sweet notes of French toast, drizzled with maple syrup and a dusting of cinnamon. Beneath, there are robust layers of earthy old oak, cigar box spice, and caramelised demerara.
Palate
Silky, slick maple syrup lifts dense layers of robust barley, buttery grain, and hearty old oak, with melted toffee and chocolate praline in tow. Fluffy pancakes join in time, drizzled with sweet syrup, berries, and spice.
Finish
Antique oak and rich, sweet maple combine in spectacular fashion, with a perfect balance of nutty sweetness and a silky soft texture, lasting layers of creamy mocha, tobacco, chewy malt, and old oak.
