Lyre's Dry London Spirit

The folks over at Lyre's in Australia have been rather busy creating this non-alcoholic Dry London Spirit, which if you hadn't guessed already, has been made in the style of a London Dry gin. Hence why the penguin on the label has a bowler hat and a monocle. Wait, does that explain why the penguin is dressed like people?

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Peppery juniper, with floral notes of jasmine, tangy citrus and orange blossom.

Reviews for Lyre's Non-Alcoholic Dry London Spirit
Bit baffled by all the negative results
Tried it straight from the bottle expecting it to be ‘watery’ as some people have said - it tasted exactly like gin!! It even burnt my mouth a little (in a good way). Tried it this evening as a double with tonic. Absolutely delightful, certainly making my dry January easier.

What a sucker I am
The good reviews make me feel like I'm on another planet. It's beautifully packaged ... water. And really expensive at that. What a sucker I am for buying four bottles of Lyre's at once. I'd rather just drink tonic with bitters then pretend this is anywhere close to a gin and tonic.

Great dry gin
Fantastic just tastes like gin! Mix it with tonic and it tastes like the real thing

£17.95 for a bottle of tasteless rubbish.
This product is not only alcohol-free but it is taste free too. Tap water has more flavour. What is Master of Malt doing stocking, let alone selling this rubbish? Get rid of it before it does more damage to your reputation. What a rip-off.

Too watery and lacks flavor.
Not the best, lacks flavor and is very watery.
Disappointed with this as £20 a bottle.

Awesome, but you have to mix it with tonic!
If you taste it by itself, it doesn’t taste like gin, BUT when you add it to tonic, it’s brilliant! So much better than the other well-known non-alcoholic alternatives too. Love it.

I think people who say it tastes like water aren’t trying it with tonic, and so aren’t getting it.

Dissapointing
I think I've probably had water with more taste. Not even remotely like gin.

Not great
Very watery - none of the viscosity I'd expect from a product with this price tag. There are far better alternatives on the market.

Excellent
Our new favourite non alcoholic spirit. Makes an excellent G&T. Clearly a rip off price wise but they all are...

Terrible Product DO NOT BUY
Worst product I’ve ever had. Tastes like bad bottled water not anywhere near gin in anyone’s imagination. Don’t buy this intentional fraud. Taking mine back for a refund from seller.
