All the way from Australia, Lyre's brings you a non-alcoholic Dark Cane Spirit, made in the style of an aged rum! Look, there's even a parrot with a pirate hat and a hook for a hand on the label. Wait, parrots don't have hands. A hook for a wing? Anyway. It's full of rich molasses flavours, but most definitely completely free from alcohol.
Caramelised brown sugar and slightly bitter molasses, with flamed orange peel.
Neat its just too sweet! Added to a diet coke and ice its acceptable but I won't be buying again. Like other reviewers you need to put at least twice the amount you would normally use to get any sense of a spiced rum flavour. Not for anyone who likes a traditional navy, like me!

Did a side-by-side comparison with an alcoholic Dark 'n Stormy (made with Gosling's Black Seal). It's a good approximation - certainly the kind of thing I would feel happy to drink myself if I was driving and others were drinking or feel happy serving to a non-alcoholic who wanted to fit in with the rest of the cocktail party
When you are unable to drink alcohol this is an honestly great substitute. The smell and taste if fantastic and it tastes great paired with coke or ginger ale. You do need to pour quite a large shot to avoid watering it down with the mixer.
Dark rum I was blown away with the smell and taste of g to his drink! You have to have lyres drinks with mixers to get the best experience
