Imagine a mezcal made in South Africa using local agave. That would be interesting to taste, wouldn't it? Of course, you couldn't call it a mezcal. But you could put a lioness on the label. That's exactly what Leonista has done here with an unaged blanco expression, made with sustainable, organic, and South African Karoo agave. Fun fact: Leonista means ‘Place of the Lion’.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Smoky, rich, and with lots of floral, cooked agave. There's also some caramel sweetness and tropical fruit.
