Laird Straight Applejack Bottling Note

Laird has been making apple brandies since 1780 and this latest bottling harks back to the times before pesky Prohibition, when its straight applejack was produced at 86 proof. Created from a revival of the historic recipe, Laird Straight Applejack 86 is a 100% apple brandy that contains 17 pounds (as in weight, not sterling) worth of apples in a single bottle.

Laird Straight Applejack 86 Reviews

Have it with a dash of bitters and a lemon twist.

Fresh apple nose with apple sweetness on the palate. Great neat or with an aromatic bitters and a twist of lemon. Makes an incredible Jack Rose.Quite different from Calvados which I also love.

Damn I love this...

This is truly fabulous bargain. Yankee Calvados. Love it. Fresh but rich. Great on its own and interesting in cocktails. Love it.
