This is a malt spirit from the Guillon Distillery in France, finished in a Banyuls casks. Bright and sweet with stewed red fruit notes, supposedly coming from the cask finish.
I just came across my tasting notes from lasgow Whisky Festival in 2012. Out of 23 tastings this one had the worst score of 3/10 with a comment of 'strange nose'. Best that day was a Longmorn bourbon cask 9yo from SMWS that I scored as 9/10.
