Ceder's
Non-alcoholic spirit Ceder's Wild was launched in early 2017 by husband and wife team Craig Hutchison and Maria Sehlstrom. It features botanicals such as juniper, ginger, clove and rooibos (the leaves are used to make redbush tea) from a valley in the Cederberg mountains in South Africa’s Western Cape (Hutchison is South African). The distilled botanicals are then blended with Swedish water before also being bottled in Sweden.
Please don't buy this if you're expecting gin. It has literally nothing whatsoever to do with gin. If you want to spend nearly £20 on cordial then feel free of course, I only wish I was that wealthy. When mixed with tonic it tastes of tonic, when mixed with cucumber it tastes of cucumber. When drunk neat you do get a very faint taste of cloves, so make your own with water + a drop of clove oil for around 2p a bottle. Admittedly, Ceder don't call this gin, but it is clearly marketed as a substitute. If this is 'alt-gin' then you can keep it.
