Balcones 2yo #1 TBMC Bottling Note

Very exciting times - this right here is the very first batch of Balcones single malt bottled from That Boutique-y Malt Company. The fabulous malt spirit was distilled by Balcones in Texas and then Brimstone-cask-matured for two years. The label is truly something to behold, depicting your every day metal concert, courtesy of The Brimstone Cowboys in the fiery depths of Hades. The Hell 'n' Back Tour looks pretty good, if a bit scary - that large demon sitting on a throne of skulls is rather unsettling, y'know...

Batch 1 is a release of 330 bottles.

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Loads of sweet, juicy fruits rise from the glass, namely plums, with a buttery toffee backbone, dark chocolate croissant and blackberry jam with a very faint, delicate smoky undertone.

Palate: Even more of those juicy fruity notes and sweet, slightly burnt crème brûlée, with a generous helping of peppery spice and lots of drying oak among the baking spices.

Finish: Dusty cocoa, sweet fruits and tannic oak, with a savoury smoky finish among lingering syrupy cherry fruit sweetness.
