An unaged raicilla from Balam is produced in El Tuito, Jalisco, Costa is distilled exclusively from chico aguiar agave found on the coast in Mexico, hence the name. Balam means 'jaguar' in Mayan, which explains the rather toothy fella on the label. As it's made from the same raw material, use this funky spirit as you would an unaged Tequila or mezcal!
Lots of baked vegetal agave alongside slightly bitter orange peel, roasted tropical fruits, charred herbs and lingering ashy notes.
