
The Villa Crespia winery in Italy is dedicated to sustainably producing the Franciacorta style of sparkling wine, using grapes grown in its organic vineyards in the DOCG-protected region. This expression is made with chardonnay grapes, fermented in stainless steel tanks, and rested for 7-8 months, followed by refermentation and maturation in the bottle for a further 36 months. An elegant effervescence and creamy, fruity profile will make this a splendid option to accompany aperitifs and seafood salads.
Orchard fruits lead with soft pear, green apple, and underripe plum, backed up by fresh brioche and notes of Rich Tea biscuits. A generous helping of crisp lemon and sweeter, candied orange lift things throughout.
