Hailing from the Villa Crespia winery, which focuses on sustainable production, it's a rosé expression of Franciacorta Italian sparkling wine! Produced with a combo of pinot noir and chardonnay grapes grown following an organic regime in the winery's vineyards, the winery is self-sufficient thanks to an agrophotovoltaic system, making use of the land to grow, and also to harness solar energy. After cold maceration, the grapes are fermented and aged for 7-8 months in steel tanks, followed by refermentation and aging in the bottle for at least two years. This extra brut expression boasts elegant layers of spice, bittersweet citrus, and florals, making it a splendid accompaniment to cured meats and fish dishes.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Tangy and sweet notes of wild strawberries and pink grapefruit are cushioned by doughy, crusty bread with a creamy effervescence and delicate minerality at its core.
