Worthy Park 109

A marvellous Jamaican rum from Worthy Park, copper pot distilled from estate-grown sugar cane molasses. The rum spends a short stay in American oak and ex-bourbon casks, before blending and bottling on site. Brimming with plenty of tropical fruit notes, with classicly bold Jamaican esters, and bottled up at a hearty 54.5% – this is an ideal expression to have handy for adding some extra body to your cocktails.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Ripe banana and dark brown sugar, tropical wafts of pineapple, zesty orange peel with gentle wafts of oaken vanilla, and smooth caramel.

Excellent with a little ice
A superb rum as an ex artillery man I find a dribble in tea on a freezing morning is excellent but simplest with a little ice is best.

Powerful stuff
A hefty Jamaican rum with a proper taste of molasses. At this ABV a little goes a long way which also means for a litre at this price it’s excellent value for money. It’s almost too much to drink neat but works very well stirred with lots of ice in the style of an Old Fashioned.
