Old & Rare Rum

Independently bottled rum from the Uitvlugt Distillery, which is sadly no more. This particular bottling was distilled in 1999, and was matured for 22 years (for 12 months it aged in Guyana, before being moved over to the UK for the rest of its maturation) before the Old & Rare Rum team bottled it up at cask strength.
Dense caramel and coffee notes, with a touch of caraway, followed by banana fritter and oily oak.
Really enjoyable dram at a fraction of the price of the equivalent scotch
