The Duppy Share

In the whisky world, the angels take their share of whisky from the casks maturing it. In the Caribbean, it's the mischievous Duppy spirits that travel from island to island, taking their share of rum from the casks. This legend is where the stylish Duppy Share Caribbean Rum takes its name. It's made from a blend of bourbon-barrel-matured 5 year old rum from Barbados and 3 year old rum from Jamaica. A bright, bold and altogether very handsome rum.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Reviews for The Duppy Share Caribbean Rum
Great rum
This is a great rum, I normally drink spiced but thought I'd try something a little different and found this to be a really well balanced rum, smooth and really morish for a decent price too, will definitely be buying again and soon 😀

Five stars are only found in a Caribbean heaven. This is very close.
I won't get into abstruse adjectives and flights of aromatic fancy. Suffice it to say that rum's been my tipple of choice for almost forty years and this one's up there with the very best. It is smooth and rounded with a hint of molasses and the tropics. If you like rum you'll be hard pressed to find anything wrong witht this one. Thanks to my brother who found it for me.

Really neat branding
I recently bought the duppy share cups to drink this with and they are great, nice colour, good feel and nice quality. Thank you

Love it
Tried different rums, not always going to pay this much. To be fair re: the few negative views it does say on the label about making cocktails with it. I quite like it on it's own, though I usually morph what other rums I have together after half a bottle is gone with some more spices of my choosing, depending on what rum I'm tampering with. Usually with some dark rum too.

We loved it
Have been enjoying more rums over the last year but this was first venture off piste with a non supermarket brand. Very much enjoyed it, encouraged us to venture out more into the rum world. Was a little surprised that reviews were mixed because we couldn't fault it, but maybe it's too easy to drink if you're a little more of a hardcore rum sinker, but maybe that's why we liked it so much, because it is very easy to drink.

Smooth and sweet
Really surprised by this, given the price. It's that rarest of things - a spirit I can drink neat. It's got far less burn than many much more expensive rums. It's fairly simple and a little dilute, but it's got a nice milk chocolate and banana character, and is very smooth. Sweet but not excessively so.

Upper Duppy
Fruity taste with a woody hint to it, smooth but interestingly very flavour full.

Duppy Share is a unique rum with a different taste from others in the same category.
I need to see it also in cocktails.
