From the folks over at The Cornish Distilling Co. comes Mooncurser, a Cornish spiced rum! The name comes from the legendary moon cursers, smugglers who would steal imports in the night around the coves of Cornwall. Not people who swear at the moon. Could also be a tipple for werewolves and the like, too.
Lots of baking spice, with a good helping of cinnamon and root ginger, orange peel and mocha, rounded off a crack of black pepper.

Excellent budget spiced rum, reminiscent of sailor Jerry's but smoother with a little less spice but a fantastic cinnamon and nutmeg nose and citrussy on the nose
Actually went to the distillery in Cornwall and bought this there. Brought it back to the US and drank it straight , tasted amazing , don’t ruin it with a chaser. Best rum I’ve ever had for drinking straight
Not too heavy on the cinnamon. Nice orange flavour with hints of coffee. Aftertaste of coffee and warming spice. Not one I’d buy again but good for the price.
I bought this rum as I'd never tried a Cornish before. If you drink it neat or with a bit of ice it can smell and taste a bit 'spirity' and the spices are nothing really special. BUT, add something like Sprite to it and it's a completely different drink. You get these lovely flavours of orange and chocolate and a warm spicy undercurrent that makes it a fabulous aperitif. Buy it, mix it, love it!!
