A superb expression from The Arcane, this sugarcane-based Mauritian rum has been treated to a stay in wild cherry wood casks! A period of between 12 to 18 months allows time for a wealth of rich fruits and floral notes to develop, providing an intriguing balance to the herbaceous cane at its core. A cracking sipper served neat, though we reckon this would go rather well with mixed with ginger ale too.
Sweet wafts of candied orange, and tart dark cherries lead, with grassy sugarcane sweetness balancing savoury hints of cardamom, clove, and pepper.
