It's another mysterious release from That Boutique-y Rum Company! For the Secret Distillery #4, the Boutique-y bunch has got its mitts on a 20 year old rum all the way from Grenada produced using a traditional column still. The label shows a spice market on a sunny Grenada beach, though there's looks to be a familiar face in the background...
Batch 1 is a release of 212 bottles.
Vaguely floral at first, before warming sandalwood and crushed spice develop, alongside some apple crumble sweetness.
Mouth-filling and subtly oily, with loads of honey, caramel and quince notes. A few touches of caraway and ginger tucked away in there.
Waxy peels and yet more cooking spices.
