Nose: It’s big, hearty and green opening with a grassy, cane juice spirit-style note, followed by Del Monte sliced pineapple in syrup and passionfruit syrup. Spiced molasses then emerges underneath with salted vanilla ice cream, Madeira cake and red cola cubes.
Palate: Charred tropical fruit, dried orange, burnt hay and toasted hazelnut initially. Dark chocolate, coffee beans and a little oak spice add darkly delicious depth.
Finish: It’s a delicately sweet, but quite musky finish.
