Here we have a Mexican Charanda rum. El Tarasco Extra Aged is distilled from sugarcane harvested in the mountains of Michoacán, and then placed in American white oak bourbon casks to rest for around a year and a half. It's matured in the warm forests of Uruapan and then bottled at 38% ABV. Not a bad contender for a rum Old Fashioned right here.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Lots of dried fruit, with Medjool dates, apricot, tinned peaches and toasted walnut.
