Blanco Rum

Blanco rum is also referred to as white or silver rum, and has a clear and crisp character. It does not have the hues or woody characteristics obtained from extended barrel maturation, but has a clean, sugary profile that can sometimes convey subtle floral and fruity nuances. Some Blanco rums are aged for short periods to imbue a touch of the complexities found in aged spirits, they are subsequently filtered to remove any colour and to achieve the desired clarity and lightness.
