South Pacific Fijian Rum 13 Year Old 2009 (Master of Malt)
We snapped up a marvellous cask of rum from Fiji for our Master of Malt Single Cask collection! Distilled in 2009, this immensely characterful sipper spent 13 years maturing in a refill barrel, yielding a total of 273 bottles when it was opened in 2022.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Hugely characterful with thick, rich toffee, creamy vanilla custard, and estery, overripe tropical fruits. Vibrant notes of cane juice and burnt brown sugar follow, joined by a hint of plasticine and polished oak.
Palate
Caramel and toffee cushion bold, peppery spice, joined by rich, sweet oak, muscovado, dried, salted mango and ripe banana. Creamy vanilla tangles with drying, woody spice in the depths, with hints of pear drops developing in time.
Finish
Butterscotch sweetness lingers, with candied tropical fruit and a tannic touch of leather beneath.
