Seven Three Distilling Black Pearl Rum
This rum from Seven Three Distilling wasn't inspired by that famous pirate film that everyone knows, but is in fact named for the reemergence of a New Orleans neighbourhood in the 1970s! The area, right on the Mississippi has a history of rum trade, which thanks to Seven Three Distilling has returned. Distilled from local sugar cane, this unaged rum is full of vibrant grassy, tropical fruit notes.

Nose
Lemongrass, banana chips and a hint of icing sugar.
Palate
Fresh red berry hints grow on the palate, though with continued grassy sugarcane notes staying in control.
Finish
Almond, lemon zest and peppercorn.
