This reminds me of my time in the merchant navy when we'd drink Bacardi, Tia Maria and coke. Bit too sweet and coffee flavoured for my ageing pallet, but,she who must be obeyed, is ecstatic. Go on treat your wife, I told mine is bought it for her as a special present. Keep quiet about that.
One of the best I have ever tasted
I love rum and so far this is my absolute favourite of all the spiced rums I tried so far, the flavours are just amazing especially if you like a vanilla touch. The only problem is that the bottle is too small.
Nowadays there is a whole plethora of spiced rums at an array of prices. If you are looking to get into them, then this is a fabulous starting point. In my opinion unbeatable in it's price range. Smooth and licquouricy.
Originally bought this as a gift for a relative a few years back, and about a month later I was offered a taster. Neat with no ice. I was sold immediately! Gorgeous blend of flavours, rich warm texture and head and shoulders above Kraken! Over the past 3-4 years I’ve bought about a dozen bottles and it always comes out for guests to try (pre-Covid of course) I’ve tried Diplomatico and a few others but always prefer this great tasting offering!
