11-year-old rum from the brilliant Ron Santiago de Cuba. A deliciously spicy expression, with enough fruity esters and brown sugar notes to balance it out wonderfully.
Grilled pineapple, dusted with cinnamon and cumin. Black pepper develops. Green banana, caramel and perhaps a touch of Sherry.
Amazingly smooth, rum perfection!

I had 2 glasses of the 11 y/o at the National hotel during a trip to La Havana October 18th and that rum tasted more like a Hennessy cognac. Best rum i ever tasted ,but i couldn't find a shop where to buy a bottle.
This is, far and away, the most amazing rum I've ever had the pleasure to sip. It is more akin to a fine whiskey than rum. I was introduced to Santiago during a weeklong trip to Havana and Vinales in the fall of 2016 where the locals pretty well agreed that it was the best available. I brought a bottle home and immediately regretted not bringing back a few more because this rum has completely ruined me on rum I can actually purchase in the States.
