Runaway Bay Bottling Note

Here we have Runaway Bay, a rum named for a beach on the north coast of Jamaica. The pot still rum brings together rum from four distilleries on the Island, including high ester spirit from Trelawny and rum from Vale of Lluidas. It was then rested in a pair of barrels for at least 11 years, before being bottled in a limited release of 773 bottles. What's more, the glass is made from recycled bottles, topped off with a real cork stopper. A great introduction to high ester rum!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Toasted coconut and dried herbs, while berries sit alongside ripe banana, leading into oak and grassy funk.

Runaway Bay Reviews

Fantastically quaffable

Fantastic and easily drinkable Jamaican rum. Very drinkable on the rocks, as well as with tonic and lime. The smell is incredible - can very happily just sit their enjoying the aroma.

Amazing aroma

Amazing bottle. Beautiful intro to the different elements of Jamaican rum. The high esters really come out but are not overpowering at all. Really balanced all the way to the finish. And the slowly starts to fill the room as soon as you pop the cork. Would strongly recommend.
