The Rump@blic range explores rum's global heritage with blends from some of the world's renowned rum-making regions. This is a single batch blend of 100% Jamaican rum, combining characterful pot distilled and aromatic column distilled spirit, matured in a Marsala cask from Sicily's Florio winery.
Woody notes, vanilla, dried fruits.
Bright and bold, robust notes of molasses and vegetal funk open the way for vanilla, toasted oak, prunes, and a touch of tar.
Waves of vanilla pod and banana chips support hints of bitter citrus, with layers of sweet caramel developing in time, backed by a touch of fragrant tobacco.
Leathery oak, drying spice, burnt brown sugar, apricot jam.

Apparently, this is a “funky” Jamaican rum that has been ‘finished’ in a Masala cask, in Sicily. I think ‘finished-off’ would be a better way to describe it. It has neither body nor complexity. To me, this doesn’t even taste like rum. It’s dire! It’s fairly alcohol forward, but even that tastes ‘industrial’. Far too ‘woody’, with a touch of fake vanilla. Thank goodness I only purchased the one bottle!
