First, there was coffee and rum. Then RumJava took it one step further and threw chocolate into the mix! RumJava Cacao'Mon is infused with Java’Mon coffee chocolate blend for 30 days, and after this time cacao nibs are then added. This is just begging to be tried in an Espresso Rumtini.

This rum smells like Kahlúa just as I expected, only slightly less potent. Drank neat, you get an instant hit from the coffee which is both delicious and sweet, but crucially, without tasting too artificial. Then comes the chocolate, which unfortunately is not as distinctive as the coffee, but nevertheless still plays it’s part in making this rum taste lush. The alcohol burn is smooth and velvety to be fair, making RumJava incredibly enjoyable without the need for a mixer. But I have tried this rum with Coca-Cola and for me, on the one hand, the coke overpowers the rum slightly, but on the flip side, the dark fizzy pop accentuates the chocolate notes, so swings and roundabouts I suppose.
