Ron Zacapa Ámbar Bottling Note

Originally released for the Travel retail market, Ron Zacapa's Ámbar rum is a solera-aged expression that was "crafted for the perfect cocktail", according to the label. Well, it'd be rude not to make a Painkiller cocktail with this one...

Ron Zacapa Centenario Ámbar Reviews

Amazing Rum(s)

As MoM states first discovered this version of Zacapa rum on my travels and as a commited Zacapa 23 fan purchased it to try. An amazing rum and quite similar to one of my other favourites Pyrat XO (similarly priced although only in 70cl). The 23 year old Zacapa has perhaps more variety of taste with it's slight sherry blend and I even enjoy it within a Boulevardier cocktail, however as a lighter and more regular drink the Zacapa Ambar is fantastic as a go to and value for money alternative. The Zacapa XO is another step up again in the Zacapa rum journey.
