Not what it once was
Usually one of my favourite sipping rums. I’ve had 7-8 bottles over the last 2-3 years. Other reviews agree. However…
I took delivery of 2 more from MoM, and this is like a completely different rum. Harsh, overspiced, nothing like the usual. In my opinion, only good as a mixer. What has happened? Is it just a bad batch? Very disappointed to have to find a new favourite. I also emailed the distillery in Cuba… sadly, no response ☹️

Completely good
Better rums are probably available but I can’t imagine that the search would be worthwhile.

No faults in this one and I’m sure that no greater pleasure is available at the price.

How can this be bettered?
I honestly don't know how this rum can be bettered! It’s so flavoursome without being too intense, it’s smooth but still has nice warmth to it. It’s oakiness....just perfect!
This is up there with El Dorado, Rum 66 12 year old, The Real McCoy, English Harbour 10 year Reserve, Doorley’s XO,.......it’s amongst those fabulous rums!
