A particularly flavoursome overproof rum from the Ron Colón Salvadoreño range. This expression is built around an aged column-still rum from El Salvador, blended with unaged Jamaican rums from Worthy Park, Hampden and Monymusk, as well as a little helping of aged rum Worthy Park too. Full-bodied stuff, with plenty of tropical fruit vibrancy alongside a touch of high-ester funkiness. A sublime sipping rum (you'll want to add a few drops of water to it, mind - it is 55.5% ABV), and more than suitable for all sorts of cocktails.
Flamed orange peel, funky esters with a hint or two, milk chocolate, macadamia nuts, fried dough and earthy spices.

Whoa! So smooth for an overproof spirit and you can definitely still taste the Jamaican "funk." This rum is bound to be a hit with mixologists and home bartenders alike.
I'd give this rum a gold medal too. Very smooth. Not usually a high proof person myself, still I find this rum super smooth and balanced. Recommend it!
