A Scottish Botanical Rum, Ron Cabezon was inspired by the founder's time in Barcelona! A base of Caribbean rum has had cubeb, West African kola nut, Madagascan vanilla and even local Aberdeenshire honey added to it (among some other botanicals, but those are kept a secret).
Cola cubes and dried fruit, with hints of smoky cigar box, caramelised pineapple and vanilla.
One of the best botanical rums I have tried ....firm favourite, smooth with a hint of sweetness that balances out this rum to put it clearly in the lead
This is going to be a favourite, loved the kola cube and vanilla comming through! Perfect for me mixed with coke. Much nicer than some of the overly sweet rums as has a unique flavour and very easy to drink
Sampled neat at the start and it caught me off guard. Never had a botanical rum before. The more I had, the more I enjoyed. A staple in the house now.
