Ron Abuelo XV Sherry Cask Bottling Note

Panamanian rum from Ron Abuelo's Finish Collection, which has been given a finishing period in Oloroso Sherry casks! This'll be very interesting to taste alongside the other expressions in the range, which include rums finished in Port casks and Cognac casks.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Masses of chocolate-coated raisin and Sherry-dipped citrus peels. Nutty at points, leading towards Amaretto-style cherry and almond notes.

Ron Abuelo XV - Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish Reviews

Oooo yes

Absolutely spectacular!!!

I sipped all three of the XVs and while I liked each better than the Centenario, the Oloroso cask finish was best; the smoothest, most complex aged rum I have ever tasted. It will be great to see it in the U.S. one day. I made my discovery at the bar at the Waldorf Astoria Hilton in Panama City last month. It was a revelation!!
