Pyrat (pronounced 'pirate') XO Reserve is an orange-forward Caribbean spirit made with rums aged for up to 15 years (although most will of course have been aged for less time). The bottle is based on the design of those kept by ship captains and pirates during the 19th Century.
Very citrussy. So much orange peel. Icing sugar, waves of fruit. Perhaps a little cough sweet note too.
Sweet, viscous, more orange. Marmalade.
Molasses, orange peels, marmalade, spice.
Like an incredible rum old-fashioned.

Dry and bland. It contained a flavor that is hard to describe, like spiced rum cut with rubbing alcohol. Take a cheap bottle of Jerry any day least out has a little flavor with its bite.
Could not agree more with "the chaps", really good and affordable rum. I first thought of a taste of caramel cause of the grand sweetness kind like the don papa rum. overall really good.
this is by far one of my most favourite rums even though it is indeed very much like a liqueur, smooth and sweet with hint of orange to flavour and very drinkable especially in summer with a cube of ice well worth a try and i've had many of thoughs I can tell you
This is so obviously a spiced rum, it tastes more like Cointreau than rum. Very disappointing, unless you are looking to buy a liqueur.
I've brought this rum more than any other drink from masters of malt and it must be said that i absolutely love it. orangy/whiskyish and smooth a little like a liqueur
