Pusser's Gunpowder Spiced

Pusser's 'Gunpowder Proof' Spiced is a particularly full-bodied spiced rum, made with rum matured in charred oak bourbon barrels and combined with a selection of tasty ingredients, including banana, cinnamon, chocolate, ginger and vanilla. Like its Black Label expression, this rum has been bottled up at 54.5% ABV, making for a robust flavour profile that will certainly stand out in mixed drinks and cocktails. Impressive stuff indeed!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Big helpings of cinnamon and ginger up front, swiftly mellowed by layers of chocolate-coated banana and vanilla ice-cream with caramel sauce. Cask char richness develops later on, plus hints of pecan, walnut and ripe fruit.

Amazing Flavours!
Just got this today and WOW! Initially Banana then chocolate and spices...just floored me! Well worth trying....the depth of flava is amazing....mixed tones it a little - i'd reccomend trying neat with ice then adding a mix of your choice :)

Game changer!
I've been looking forward to this being released! Fantastic Rum! Lovely heady banana on the nose and the palate but not as sweet as you'd expect. It certainly has more in common with a traditional rum than any of the commercial spiced rums out there. This spiced rum could definitely help elevate the category.

Smooth - but packs a punch!
Got a bottle of this as I was already a fan of the regular Pussers Gunpowder Rum - one of the best rums out there!... Pleased to say that they have still managed to maintain the core flavour of the pussers, while blending smooth spices with hints of Banana (Like Bumbu - but nicer) - while its 54.5% ABV (Gunpowder ignition strength) - its still smooth to sip - and the flavour and strength come through when mixed - my preference was with Bundaberg ginger beer. Really great rum, glad I tried it!

Best spiced rum I’ve tasted !
Very good spiced rum - different from the average spiced rums where you need a mixer. Opening the bottle the smell of Banana, caramel hits you. It’s so smooth you can drink just with ice and the smell continues as you sip it. There aren’t many rums I will drink neat but this one is very drinkable. I will be ordering more of this rum !
