Nose: Very full and fruity with espresso, marmalade, marzipan, crème de cacao, spice, vanilla cream, black pepper.
Palate: Full and very rounded with notes of syrupy spice and fruit, vanilla spice.
Finish: Very long and syrupy with dark spices.

This is a very tasty rum, no need to mix, would be criminal to do so. The blue label is OK to mix!

Truly this does the job as a time tested Royal Navy Painkiller, but with the added smoothness and less Alcohol content than the Original Royal Navy Issue, it is a pleasure to use Medicinally.I use this as a Victorian Painkiller Top Up for my Pharmaceutical Painkillers, from time to time, as I suffer from Chronic Pain and Muscular Spasms etc. and due to side effects have had to drop down from the Strong and Serious Major Painkillers. And truly a Tot of Pussers 15Yr Old relives the Neurological and Spinal and Muscular Pain and Spasm with near Immediate effect. The Bonus is it is tastes like a Fine Wine and not like the Original Medicine.Long Fly The White Ensign - Fly Navy!

I love my malt whiskies, I love my good bourbons and I love my rums but this is just sublime. Smooth, fruity, sweet and yummy with no added flavourings. I think at £40 a bottle you get what you pay for. Beautiful.

I did & never looked back ;)Still a crackin sipping rum though!

PUSSERS 15 - is - EXTREMELY good, as far as "RUM" is concerned...but...and there always is a "but" - purely something that is distilled from the "cheapest" carbohydrate being (SUGAR). Sample an aged (minimum 15, to 40year old ) "Cask Strength" - Single "MALT" Whisky - and I promise you it will be worth the extra cost.

Very good Rum indeed - alas, I would love to taste an expression of this make at Cask Strength (and) 15 years old! I'm fully aware of the "Angels Share" - it just didn't quite provide enough "Ooomph" !Having said that - let me say this; an all round delightful article that even Grandmother would enjoy the partaking of.

I got a dram of this in the Rum advent and I was blown away. Smooth and sweet with a heavy spiced note. And I was tasting the toasty spice finish so long after finishing the sample, that I wondered if I had taken another sip. I will be getting this rum again in the near future.

This is the worst rum I've ever tasted. Be a navy mile. Rats p*ss. Stay away. About as smooth as saurons ball bag. I'd rather kiss Katie Hopkins. I'd rather drink a pint of salt. I'd rather lick a dead rat x

Smoothe, flavorful and original! This is how rum should taste! I searched for 3 years to find a rum worth drinking when I stumbled upon Pussers 15 yr at a hole-in-the-wall joint in Norfolk VA. I could take a tot every day for the rest of my life and it'd never get old! Drink Up!!

What a fantastic rum. It's a really thing of gastrobeautiful and has ticked every box in my book that I was looking for in a rum. Captain Jack Sparrow would go to worlds end to get his mitts on this one. I really underestimated this one and I'm absaloubtly surprised by it. The only rums that I put this into the same category is El dorado 15 and Ron Zacapa 23 and one Pussers 15 y.o. Well done Pussers keep up the good work.

Just got the bottle and have tried a few tot's and it is so mellow and forgiving. Usually rum like the common ones you see in supermarkets blows your head off but not this stuff it's sweet and oily with notes of honey molasses oaky woodyness and also toffee caramel makes a appearance and many more but this is a few tastes and I'm looking forward to drinking more and discovering more little gems this beautifully crafted rum has to offer. I've just broke into the rum scene and I'm a malt whisky man through and through but I can say with a certainty I'm now also a rum man and I've got Master of Malt to thank for that so a big thank you to the good folk at Master of Malt !!!.

I can see from all of your reviews below that this is possibly the best dark rum there is and been a Brit if it's good enough for our Royal Navy and her majesty's queen Elizabeth's navy then I'm not going to argue and tomorrow when it comes I will come back and offer my view on this majestic tipple or tot and being a Rum lover and malt whisky lover I can say with a certain degree of accuracy I will probly fall for this tipple and tot !.

Its fair to say, if you like the taste of Pussers Blue Label neat or El Dorado 15 then you'll like this. Good stuff!

As an American, and born after 1970 I never experienced life in the RN with a tot. However I have tasted many a rum and find that anything with the blue label and a White Ensign on it wonderful, this 15 year old is the best of the lot. Rule Britannia!

I was in the Mob for 11 years three months 15 Days coming out in April 1970. The only reason I left was the stopping of the tot. Like Greenie I am a whisky man now but like the special occasions when my wonderful wife buys me a bottle of Pussers.p.s. What would a Cmdr know about drinking rum??????

Iwas in the mob (navy) for 22 years and normally I am now a whisky man,but the pussers rum is saved for special occasions,it is the same stuff we drank upto it,s sad withdrawl, they said it wasn,t compatible with the modern navy! I still have the half pint pussers glass I drank my last tot from.HMS FORTH (Singapore) very sad I know but this it what memories are made of. CHEERS

I have served 30 years in the Royal Navy, so I have a reasonable idea of what rum should taste like, this 15 year old Pusser's rum is about as near as you will ever get to the issue that was so in the RN, although officers didn't get the daily issue, I have had many a tot in my time. Excellent brew.
