The pairing of sweet things with a touch of salt is a clever trick to have up your sleeve when it comes to culinary creativity. Salted caramel is a sweet example of that, geddit? Sweet? The addition of a pinch of salt actually helps to accentuate the rich flavour profile of the caramel, and the clever gang behind the Project #173 range has managed to capture that magic, and bottle it up in rum form!
A base of high quality rum is naturally flavoured with silky sweet caramel, and a touch of salt, making for a deliciously indulgent sipper. Enjoy this over ice instead of pudding, or why not splash some over your pudding come to think of it? Great for adding a caramel twist to cocktails too.

Sticky caramel and creamy Milk Bottle sweeties open things up. Burnt sugar creeps in with vanilla notes of crème brûlée and crème caramel, and chocolatey wafts of Rolos.
The creaminess continues, bolstered by crisp caramelised biscuits. Chewy notes of marshmallow mingle with spiced banana bread and crispy fruit roti, drizzled with condensed milk before hints of dark chocolate salted almonds appear.
Lingering sweetness with a depth of cinnamon, charred oak, and a whisper of orange zest.
Daim Bars and Curly Wurlies! This will shine in a Rum Old Fashioned, we reckon.

If you don't enjoy salted caramel then you're not going to enjoy this rum, but it's a pretty accurate rendition of what you'd imagine a nice rum with a bunch of salted caramel dissolved in it would taste like, and if you like both of those things (which I very much do) then you'll almost certainly like this Rum (which I do!).
This is a really nice drop of rum, had this as a tester size from a Christmas calendar. It’s sweet but not overpowering. It has a gorgeous smell and you can get the notes of salted caramel. Am going to buy a full size bottle, kick back and enjoy. I look forward trying the other Project 173 options too
Ghastly. Far too sweet and leaves an aftertaste of pure alcohol.
I found this Rum extremely hard to drink, very rough. Consequently after a couple of sips I threw it away and the bottle went in the bin
Excellent ?
